Police say a man was stabbed to death Saturday night in Highbridge.

The NYPD says a 37-year-old man was found fatally stabbed inside of a hallway at the Highbridge Garden Houses on University Avenue around 10:30 p.m.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was found by police with a stab wound to his torso. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they have a female person of interest who was taken into custody Saturday night at the scene.
