NYPD: Man wanted for beating, carjacking older woman
Police say the man approached the woman as she was sitting in her black Toyota RAV4 just after 1 p.m. Monday.

A man is wanted in the beating and carjacking of a 60-year-old woman on Monday, according to the NYPD.
Police say the man approached the woman as she was sitting in her black Toyota RAV4 just after 1 p.m. Monday. They say he proceeded to drag her out of the car and punch and kick her before jumping in the car and driving down Steenwick Avenue.
The NYPD is describing the suspect as a male with light complexion who is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall. They say he was last seen wearing a white head scarf, white T-shirt and dark pants.
The vehicle is a black 2015 Toyota RAV4 SUV with New York registration 552279.
The 60-year-old woman was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
