A man found unconscious and unresponsive on a boat docked in Newtown Creek in Greenpoint was pronounced dead on Sunday, the NYPD says.
Sources tell News 12 that the 52-year-old man appeared to be there for more than a week.
Crews were seen searching the water for clues as to how the man died.
The Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet determined the cause of death. Police are not treating the case as a homicide and do not suspect any criminality.
