A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash in East Flatbush.

Police say the 25-year-old victim was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Farragut Road and Albany Avenue.

Police say the driver of the vehicle did not stay on the scene and the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made.

The intersection, which is in between an elementary school and an athletic field, has some residents worried about speeding in the area. One man noted an increase in accidents in the area.

"It's been a lot of accidents occurring time after time. It's not good for the kids in the area," he said.
