NYPD: MTA bus strikes elderly woman in Coney Island

According to the NYPD, a 70-year-old woman was struck at the intersection of Stillwell and Mermaid avenues at 2 p.m.

Police are investigating a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that was struck by an MTA bus in Coney Island.
According to the NYPD, a 70-year-old woman was struck at the intersection of Stillwell and Mermaid avenues at 2 p.m. The B68 bus, operated by a 45-year-old man, was traveling southbound on Stillwell Avenue and was making a left onto Mermaid Avenue when the bus collided with the victim.
The 70-year-old woman suffered a leg injury and was taken to NYU Langone Hospital in stable condition. The bus driver remained on the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
