A 33-year-old man was fatally shot in a Soundview apartment building on Friday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

Fire officials say the incident took place just before 3:30 this afternoon on East 174th Street and that the victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Police and EMT were seen bringing the victim out on a stretcher.

One neighbor said he was on the third floor of the building and heard multiple gunshots.

Police are currently looking for one suspect, and believe a dispute between the suspect and victim led to the fatal shooting.
