The NYPD says it has released body camera footage of a man who is accused slashing his four nieces with a meat cleaver in Bensonhurst.

Police say that man is 49-year-old Long Quien Chen.

News 12 spoke with neighbors in the area, like Jamie Catanzaro, even though the incident happened weeks ago, it's still on his mind.

"I'm sure it was terrifying for the children, and that's sad. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood and we usually have no incidents of anything around here," said Catanzaro.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says the next court date with be June 13 and will include the results of Chen’s psychiatric exam.
