NYPD releases new suspect images after teen slashed in Williamsbridge
Surveillance video shows nearby neighbors rushing to the aid of the victim.

The NYPD has released new images as they hunt for the person who slashed a 16-year-old girl in the face in Williamsbridge.

Pictures previously released by police showed the suspect wearing a mask.
Officers say that the suspect approached the 16-year-old victim on Jan. 12 along White Plains Road at around 4 p.m. and slashed her in the face, leaving her seriously injured. Witnesses say it happened right after school dismissal and that it seemed to be a random attack.
The suspect was last seen running west on East 216th Street.
"[I] eventually came into the store, I saw that she was bleeding, so I said let’s stand outside. So I came right here, the napkin was right here, I peeled off some and gave it to my coworker to let them put it on her face until the ambulance come," said Peter Gayle, witness and employee at Moodies Records who came to the victim's aid. "What he did was not right and that was uncalled for and personally I think he should be held accountable for what he did to that young lady because he scarred her for life now."
Surveillance video shows nearby neighbors rushing to the aid of the victim. Police say the victim is expected to fully recover.
