Police in Brooklyn are searching for a man they say scammed multiple people by using fraudulent Zelle payments when purchasing items from Facebook Marketplace.

Police say the suspect has struck three times in the confines of the 62nd, 63rd and 68th precincts, showing up to meet sellers of items including cameras and Pokémon cards. He then uses the false payment method and runs off with the items.

The items the suspect took off with total over $10,000.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call police.
