The NYPD has released new video showing the suspect in the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Brooklyn.
Police identified the victim as Graig Bassett, of Brooklyn, who was fatally shot three minutes away from his home.
The video shows the alleged shooter walking out of the Yoyo Deli and Gourmet on the corner of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Place at around 5 p.m. He walks down the street before stopping and staring, then slowly walks between the cars and begins shooting down the street.
The bullet fired hit the Bassett in the torso. Neighbors tell News 12 they saw a group of three or four boys arguing before the fatal shot was fired.
Video shows the shooter wearing a mask over his face, which is another concern voiced by deli owners. The United Bodegas of America has asked law enforcement to ban masks inside delis so workers can see customers’ faces. A requirement in this case, that might have helped identify the shooter who is still on the loose.
