NYPD rescues wallaby on Coney Island boardwalk

They say they responded to the boardwalk after reports of someone with a wallaby. Officers rescued the animal and then gave it to Animal Care Centers of NYC.

The NYPD says a wallaby was rescued on the Coney Island boardwalk over the weekend.
They say they responded to the boardwalk after reports of someone with a wallaby. Officers rescued the animal and then gave it to Animal Care Centers of NYC.
The person who was in possession of the wallaby received a summons for "possession of a wild marsupial".
