The NYPD is asking the public to help in the search for two men in connection to a robbery that happened on Sunday, Oct. 24.
Police say a 36-year-old man was standing in the lobby of his building near Lowerre Place and East 226th Street when two men approached him and forced their way into the lobby.
Once inside, police say the two men punched and kicked the man in his head and body and then removed his wallet and phone.
Police say the wallet contained $500. They say the two men later fled the scene on foot.
The victim suffered pain and bruising to his head and body, a laceration to his lip, and an avulsed tooth, according to police.
He later reported the incident to police and received medical attention at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
Police say the man was in stable condition.
