Police who rescued 170 rabbits from a Brooklyn building in January are suggesting that people in search of last minute holiday gifts adopt a furry friend.
Because some of the animals were pregnant at the time of their rescue, the police now have 230 rabbits up for adoption.
The NYPD set up a special adoption drive for this coming Saturday at Central Park.
For $25, adopting families will get a rabbit, a cage, a water bottle and information on how to care for the new pet.
