Police say shots were fired outside of P.S. 26 in Brooklyn Thursday morning.
Gunshots were fired outside of the Jesse Owens School just before 9 a.m., authorities say. Police set up tape and blocked off a section of the sidewalk at Malcolm X Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators say they're searching for a man dressed in black with a white T-shirt who fled down Malcolm X Boulevard toward Van Buren Street.
One man who lives nearby says he heard about three shots. Others are expressing their outrage that the shooting happened so close to a school.
Police say no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
