Police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect who attempted to rob a man and then assaulted him earlier this month in Bed-Stuy.

Authorities say a man approached the 33-year-old victim on Marcy Avenue and demanded his property at around 4 a.m. on July 5.

The suspect began punching the victim while trying to take his backpack.

Police say the man was hospitalized and is in stable condition.
