NYPD: Suspect wanted for gunpoint robbery, stealing from smoke shop on Flatbush Avenue

This latest incident comes as robberies are trending upward city wide.

Police say a smoke shop on Flatbush Avenue was targeted by thieves and robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

According to the NYPD, a masked man walked inside the store at 866 Flatbush Ave. just off of Church Avenue, took out a gun and stole merchandise just before 11 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is still on the loose.

This latest incident comes as robberies are trending upward city wide. Robberies are up 8.5% so far this year with 64 incidents, according to city data.
