Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who raped a woman last week in Brownsville.

Authorities say the incident began as the suspect was speaking to the 22-year-old victim near Junius Street and Blake Avenue.

The man pushed her on the ground in the middle of their conversation and forced her to engage in sexual intercourse.

The victim was hospitalized and treated for injuries, according to police.
