Police are searching for a suspect who they say was involved in a strangling incident Thursday night in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
Police say a 25-year-old woman was strangled in the area of Parkside Avenue and Ocean Avenue at 11 p.m.
They say she was walking into a building when the suspect came up behind her and strangled her.
Police say she began to scream "stop" and the suspect let her go before leaving the scene.
The victim refused medical attention, according to detectives.
NYPD detectives ask anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.
