One suspect is at large after shooting a 17-year-old at 333 Boyland Street.
The victim then allegedly fled into a high school located at 2021 Bergen Street.
Parents told News 12 that they were not notified of the shooting officially but found out when they saw a large police presence outside of the building.
Neighbors say it was alarming, and hope those behind the shooting are caught.
"It does happen [often], I feel scared, police were everywhere, and I just [saw] people talking about what happened. It is sad" said neighbor Rita Thompson, whose niece attends the elementary school.
