NYPD: Woman, 14-year-old found dead inside Brooklyn apartment

A 37-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl were found dead inside of an apartment on New York Ave., according to the NYPD.
Police say they responded to a wellness call at the location of the apartment at 1296 New York Ave. on Monday and discovered the woman and teenage girl dead at the scene. Both victims were found with stab wounds suffered.
Law enforcement officials at the scene also told News 12 that a dog was found dead at the scene as well.
Neighbors say that the building where this took place is a relatively brand-new building, and that people had just begun to move in during the summer. Many say that they're shocked about the crime that took place.
No arrests have been made at this time.
