A 43-year-old woman is in the hospital after she was shot on Neptune Avenue, according to the NYPD. 

Officials say that the woman was found by officers just before 2 p.m. with a gunshot wound to her arm. She was transported to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive. 

At this hour, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
