Officers responded to 569A Linden Blvd. and discovered a 58-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her body.
Investigators say EMS aided the victim, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have arrested 71-year-old Michael Baptiste and charged him with murder.
