A New York University Langone-Mineola nurse is on the road to recovery.
Joanne Drenckhahn received a lifesaving heart transplant Monday evening.
The first responder was admitted to the hospital she served for 26 years last week after suffering a heart ailment.
A fundraiser for Drenckhahn has raised more than $100,000.
