A city police officer is being investigated by the NYPD following allegations that he sent a teenage girl to the hospital with a broken jaw.
Jessica Williams, 17, was riding her bicycle Sunday around the Tompkins Houses in Bed-Stuy when she was stopped by the officer. Williams' lawyer says his client called the officer "rookie," and was then allegedly punched in the face.
Williams, whose jaw was broken in two places, was taken to Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center. Police are not commenting on the incident because the probe is ongoing.
