An officer was assaulted while attempting to disperse a rowdy crowd after the Jamaican Day Parade in Brooklyn on Saturday evening, police say.
Yolanda Palacio-White, 35, was taken into custody and faces a slew of charges for allegedly punching an officer in the head.
According to the NYPD, the chaos unfolded near 783 Flatbush Ave. just before 7:15 p.m.
Video from @ab_100grand on Instagram and NYC Scoop shows a large number of NYPD officers at the scene and multiple people being placed in handcuffs.
The NYPD says the officer suffered minor pain from the attack and received medical treatment at the scene.
Palacio-White, of Brooklyn, is charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Information about other arrests made during the incident was not immediately made available.
