Officer's gun accidentally goes off inside Kingston-Throop subway station

The NYPD says an officer's service weapon accidentally discharged inside the Kingston-Throop avenues subway station on Thursday.
Police sources tell News 12 that the gun never left the officers holster. It happened just before 4:45 p.m. on the southbound platform for the A/C lines.
According to the NYPD, two officers were taken to nearby hospitals. No one else was hurt.
The extent of the officers' injuries was not immediately known.
The investigation into the incident - and how it happened - is ongoing.
