A two-alarm fire ripped through two apartments in Soundview late Monday, officials say.

A two-alarm fire ripped through two apartments in Soundview late Monday, officials say. 
News 12 is told over 100 firefighters responded to the scene around 11 p.m. and were able to get the fire under control in an hour. 
The fire completely destroyed the homes on Elder Avenue, sending multiple families out in the cold. 
No one was injured, according to the fire department. 
A car was also burned in the fire. 
The cause of the fire is unknown.
