Officials say two children were rescued from the waters at Orchard Beach Tuesday afternoon.

According to sources, two lifeguards pulled them out of the water around 1 p.m.

An 8-year-old and 10-year-old boy were rescued and taken to the hospital, according to the Parks Department.

Sources say they were breathing and conscious when transported.
