A large fire in Gerritsen Beach Monday evening left two people seriously injured.

Firefighters extinguished the flames in about and hour and a half, but not before the home on Aster Court was almost completely charred.

A video shows the entire house engulfed in fire, with flames shooting out of a second-story window.

Officials say the two victims' injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Seven firefighters also suffered minor injuries.

Firefighters had an extra degree of difficulty to work around, with the streets of Gerritsen Beach being exceptionally narrow. But a fire marshal says crews negotiated things well.

Fire marshals are investigating what sparked the fire.
