Three pedestrians in Elizabeth are expected to be OK after they were hit by a New York City-based news van.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. Friday. City officials say two children and their aunt were crossing Elizabeth Avenue near Fifth Street when they were struck by a van belonging to WPIX.

Officials say the aunt had to be pulled out from under the van. One of the children, believed to be around 10 years old, had a leg injury.

A spokesperson for WPIX wrote in a statement, "Our hearts go out to those involved and their families. We are fully cooperating with the authorities as they investigate this incident. At this time, our primary focus is on the well-being of those injured."

Officials say the driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police officers.
