Officials say six people were arrested after being accused of taking part in 40 robberies across New York City.
They say the burglaries took place between Mar. 21 and June 24, with nine of them happening in the Bronx.
Five men and one woman are in custody, according to officials.
The suspects -- usually masked -- would go in three or four at a time and break into several businesses, including laundromats, and take off with coin machines, cash and other merchandise. They would then take off in different cars with stolen plates.
All six suspects face multiple charges including burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
