Fuel from a spill along Barnes Avenue may have gotten into the city's storm drain system, officials say. The incident happened in front of Richard R. Green Middle School when a tank attached to a temporary boiler started leaking diesel fuel. The FDNY has since contained the spill, with the departments of Environmental Protection and Environmental Conservation now investigating whether the fuel spread anywhere else. Officials say the school was not affected and no classes were disrupted.
