Authorities say police shot and wounded an armed man at a Brooklyn nightclub early Saturday morning.
Police say they responded to a call at the Amarachi Lounge on Bridge Street at around 1 a.m.
When police arrived, they say they approached a 34-year-old seen fleeing from the club. According to officials, the man then displayed a gun.
The two responding officers say they ordered the man to drop the weapon. When he refused, police fired four times, hitting the suspect once in the torso and grazing his left arm.
He was taken to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive.
Two NYPD officers were taken to Methodist Hospital for ringing in the ears, which is standard procedure.
Neighbors say they are concerned to see a shooting so close to home, but were supportive of police.
Investigators have not yet released the suspect's name, but sources told News 12 that he does have a criminal history.
