Officials: New Haven police officer killed in car crash in Las Vegas

Officials say a police officer from New Haven was killed in a car crash in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Police tell News 12 several New Haven officers were in the vehicle when it crashed, including the driver - Officer Robert Ferraro.
Officer Joshua Castellano, a 7-year veteran of the department, was killed.
Acting Police Chief Renee Dominguez says the four other officers in the car suffered minor injuries and were treated and released.
Las Vegas police are conducting a criminal investigation into the crash.
The chief says the officer who was driving will be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by New Haven police.
