Officials: Worker rescued following fall at Throgs Neck construction site

While his injuries are currently unknown, officials say they are not life threatening and he is expected to be OK.

Fire and emergency crews rescued a worker who fell at a construction site in Throgs Neck on Saturday morning.
Officials say the worker fell nearly three stories from an edge near an area behind a crane at around 7:30 a.m.
According to officials, fire and emergency crews worked together and made a rope system that rescued the worker less than an hour after the fall.
While his injuries are currently unknown, officials say they are not life threatening and he is expected to be OK.
Fire officials say they do not yet know what caused the fall.
