Bronx residents say Morris Park is known for its great food, friendly faces and unique history. About 100 years ago Morris Park was a playground for the rich and famous. The Belmont Stakes was held there until 1903. Morris Park native and renowned mystery writer Mary Higgins Clark was recently inducted into the Bronx Hall of Fame. Residents say Morris Park is a close-knit community. Morris Park Avenue is a thriving business district known for its mom-and-pop stores and restaurants. Residents say everyone knows everyone and it?s a comfortable place to live.
