One injured in Canarsie apartment fire

One person was injured after a fire broke out Saturday morning on the fourth floor of a residential building in Canarsie, according to the FDNY.

Firefighters responded to 671 E. 105th St. just after 8 a.m. One person was taken by EMS to Brookdale Hospital to be treated for injuries.

About 79 firefighters and EMS personnel brought the fire under control in less than an hour.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known as of Saturday afternoon.
