A person was found with critical injuries following a fire that broke out in a basement of a Bensonhurst home.

“There was like five fire trucks, and a lot of smoke," said Vanni, a neighbor.

The fire started just before 7 a.m. on 64th Street, officials said.

“I think there's an old man that lives here, and I think a couple too yea I always see them outside," said Vanni.

Citizen video shows smoke filling the already foggy skies. Firetrucks and other emergency vehicles lined the streets.
