The 224th illegal smoke shop in Brooklyn has been shut down.
On Tuesday night, Operation Padlock struck again in the borough. This time, on Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie.
The sheriff's office tells News 12 it confiscated paraphernalia from cannabis flowers to flavored vapes.
In April, Gov. Kathy Hochul gave the power to the city to start shutting down smoke shops without the proper licenses.
Though the policy is more clear cut now, News 12 has heard from people throughout the borough who say they are still confused about which shops are legal and which are not.
