The NYCHA Mitchell Houses still lacks access to heat and kitchen facilities - nearly two months after a partial building collapse.

Optimum, a sister company of News 12, teamed up with Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, the NYCHA Tenants Association and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York to donate $3,000 to impacted families.

The $3,000 will go toward the purchase and distribution of hot meals for residents.

There is no word when residents will have all of their heat and gas services restored.
