Orange County DA issues subpoenas in Walden housing program investigation
Probe comes just days after a separate investigation involving the village manager.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has issued subpoenas as part of a probe into the village’s housing rehabilitation program, News 12 has confirmed.
District Attorney David Hoovler acknowledged the investigation and said his office is reviewing the program, but declined to comment further, calling the subpoenas “for records … nothing more.”
The subpoenas seek records dating back several years, including a period when Village Manager John Revella — who also serves as an Orange County legislator — oversaw and approved loans through the program.
Revella was recently indicted by federal prosecutors on unrelated tax charges, accused of hiding more than $1 million in income.
The housing rehabilitation program, run through the village’s building department, is intended to help homeowners improve their properties, offering loans with interest rates ranging from 0% to 3%.
If wrongdoing is found, charges could be pursued.
News 12 has reached out to Revella and the village mayor for comment and is waiting to hear back.
