Construction has resumed on the Throgs Neck Bridge Wednesday, one day after a worker was crushed to death by a crane.
In the meantime, officials launched an investigation into the cause of the accident that resulted in the death of William Barnes, who worked for Tri-State Electric as an operator of the aerial lift controls.
A spokesperson for the Occupational Safety and Health Administration says the agency is working with MTA Bridges and Tunnels to determine if Tri-State Electric has been in compliance with safety standards. The results of the investigation are expected to be released within six months.
