Outgoing NJ Transit CEO Kevin Corbett makes first appearance since announcing resignation

New Jersey Transit president and CEO Kevin Corbett made his first public appearance since announcing his resignation.
Corbett spoke briefly at a groundbreaking ceremony for a storage and inspection facility in New Brunswick. The new facility will help protect rail cars and locomotives during extreme weather events.
Michael Culotta – the Federal Transit Administration’s regional director for New York and New Jersey spoke about what Corbett meant to NJ Transit during his tenure as CEO.
"Through it all you have always remained committed to the commuters and riders in our region, working to improve their experiences and maximize the opportunities that public transportation brings,” Culotta said.
Kris Kolluri will take over as president and CEO in the new year. Kolluri is the former CEO of the Gateway Development Commission. He's known for overseeing the construction of the new Hudson River Rail Tunnel project.
