Months of training and determination, led over 21,000 runners across the finish line today at the NYCRuns Brooklyn Half Marathon.
The half marathon began in North Brooklyn, then took runners under the Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn bridges. Runners made their way down to Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before crossing the finish line at Prospect Park.
One runner had to take an unusual path to get there. News 12's Julia Joseph was at the finish line and spoke with human rights activist Omoyele Sowore about his journey.
