The parents of a hit-and-run victim are pleading for the driver to come forward and take responsibility for the incident.
Destiny Camacho, 12, was struck by a white van Saturday near her East New York home. She suffered serious brain injuries and is in critical condition at Brookdale Hospital.
Destiny's father, Rene Camacho, is confident his daughter will pull through. He lost another daughter to cancer three years ago.
Their community hopes surveillance video will lead police to the driver.
