A city agency is pulling the plug on a Bedford-Stuyvesant day care center it says was mismanaged.
The Administration for Children's Services (ACS) is terminating its contract with the Irving Place Child Development Center, Inc. at 8187 Irving Pl. ACS says the center has been chronically short on enrollment for some time now. The facility, which has been operating for more than 30 years, serves about 50 children.
Parents say the agency has left them with few child care options. However, ACS maintains other acceptable facilities are in the immediate area. ACS has scheduled a meeting with concerned parents.
