A shark washed up at Robert Moses State Park early Wednesday, park officials say.
They say swimming was stopped for around two hours when the 6-foot-long sand tiger shark washed up east of Field 5.
A drone that the state uses as part of its shark patrols spotted a shark off Field 4 around 11:15 a.m. A lifeguard then saw another shark off Field 5.
The sightings also caused swimming to be temporarily prohibited.
Beachgoers tell News 12 the water was so clear Wednesday that it was easy to see anything swimming around the area.
Swimming has since reopened at the beach.
