It's back to school time for Catholic school students in Park Slope, but things will be slightly different at Saint Saviour's.
The school is opening its doors as an academy school for the first time, instead of a parish. That means the school is now run by a board of directors, not a pastor.
Children lined up outside, excited to greet their principal after a long summer break. Classes ran until noon today, but the kids will have a full day starting on Thursday.
