Police say they have finally identified a suspect in connection to a series of groping incidents in Park Slope.
Two weeks ago, News 12 spoke with a woman who had been a victim of one of these attacks while walking her dog in Park Slope. The woman recounted a disturbing encounter where, after crossing the street, she was approached from behind and forcibly groped.
Nearby, a wanted poster from an earlier incident in June highlighted a similar case of forcible touching.
The suspect in that June attack is now believed to be connected to this recent wave of incidents, which includes multiple victims groped within a matter of days.
In response to the alarming rise in these crimes, the Guardian Angels, an unarmed violence prevention group, began canvassing the area. Their presence was prompted by no arrests made in the case. The Guardian Angels have been actively warning women about the dangers and advising them to stay vigilant.
Police then released surveillance footage showing a man suspected of being involved in the groping incidents of four women.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers. All tips are confidential, and the investigation into these disturbing events continues.
