An outdoor shop is taking over the space of a well-known drugstore in Park Slope.
Gear To Go Outfitters is expanding to the space where Palma Chemists stood for more than 50 years.
Gear To Go started as a street stand in 2009 and eventually grew to its shop on Garfield Place.
The tight space has made it difficult to get to supplies for backpacking, hiking and camping.
Gear To Go's owner, Kevin Rosenberg, says the new space will allow his business the chance to offer more classes and other services.
He says he hopes to have a grand opening in late March or early April.
